Stress and Anxiety
At one time or another, all of us experience stress. These feelings can be a response to events in our lives that may feel beyond our control. When we are healthy and the stress is short-lived, we are usually able to recover without too much wear and tear to our overall health. However, when the stress is extreme, or if it lasts a long time, our health begins to suffer. Acupuncture is one of the most effective treatments for stress.
Stress can cause anxiety, panic attacks, palpitations, fatigue, insomnia and headaches. Physical effects can be muscle tension, weight gain, digestive problems amongst others.
Traditional Chinese Medicine recognises the degree to which our emotions affect our overall wellbeing. Acupuncture is very effective in treating mental and emotional conditions, such as stress, anxiety and depression without any negative side effects.
Many of our clients report feeling relaxed during and after an acupuncture treatment.
